6 Characteristics of Survivors
- Recognize and Believe: You recognize, acknowledge and accept reality more quickly than those who perish. You realize that any possible solution must emanate from your own efforts. God helps those who help themselves.
- Think, Study, Plan, and Review: You quickly organize, set up routines and take action. Survivors break down large, seemingly impossible jobs…into manageable tasks.
- Celebrate Minor Successes: You take great joy from the smallest successes. By celebrating the smallest success or completion of a task, your brain releases endorphins. Take the time to enjoy even the smallest success.
- Believe in the Positive and the Successful Outcome: Have a sense of positive expectancy. Believe and convince yourself that you will succeed if you continue to execute a systematic plan. Focus on what you want to happen. Remember that old saying “As you think, so shall you be.”
- Never Give Up: Getting discouraged is a part a life. Get over it. There is an old Chinese proverb “The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed.”
- Always be moving forward: Do one positive item in your life daily, no matter how small. Never stop improving. Never stop doing something new. Small daily improvements result in huge advantages.
Additional thoughts: Meditate on the above and write down the things I am grateful for and the things I want to attract. If you write these things down daily, then you will not have time to be negative, complain or be worried.
