If you are reading this post then you are probably stuck on what to give your 80 something mother this Mother’s Day. Or, maybe, what to give your boomer wife for this upcoming Mother’s Day.
We all know that neither Mother wants more stuff! They are waaay past that phase of their life.
So here are some ideas for unique, special and personal gifts for the mother or mothers in your life.
By the way, my wife and I, when we cleaned out my parents house of 40 years, after my Dad passed away in 2008 and moved my Mom into a retirement community, a 1949 Glamour Magazine. My mother had attached notes to pages for ideas for wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses for her 1950 wedding.
So what my wife did, was take the cover of the magazine then framed it. Total cost $7.00 for the frame.
Here are few more creative cheap ideas:
• Frame a picture of the house you grew up in or better yet the one she grew up in.
• Find an older picture of your Mom, restore it and frame it.
• Write your Mom or Wife a heart-felt letter of how she’s changed your life or a poem.
• Do a family tree go to Ancestry.com. You may have to join to get a detail family tree.
• Find out what her Gideon name means go to BehindTheName.com
• Find out what was popular in her day (PeopleHistory.com), find it cheap on eBay.com (affiliate link.)
