Hello Baby Boomers, Jane Pauley Is Back With “Your Life Calling” Series

I have always liked Jane Pauley, I still don’t know if we as the boomer generation will ever embrace AARP. But I will probably watch (YouTube.com) her series. At least the AARP gets “it”, that boomers need to be catered to as the largest population segement in the US and with $1trillion in spending power. Maybe that is why AARP has signed on as the sponsor. Watch for more collaborations between boomer organizations, senior groups and advertisers.

Jane Pauley, boomer 1951 (59), the former NBC “Today Show” host is back — teaming up with an NBC and AARP collaboration to address Baby Boomer encore careers.

She is being called a “Your Life Calling” ambassador and her focus is on the re-invention of many Americans 50 and older.

Boomers in many cases are re-engineering themselves for the next phases of their lives, training for and taking on new encore careers that are entirely different from the careers they had when they were younger.

Jane Pauley and AARP will shine a spotlight on people who, both by choice and by necessity, are reinventing themselves and “trying new things”—such as starting new careers (often called “encore careers”), learning skills, changing how they live, and, after years of waiting, finally pursuing their dreams.
