“Jon, I do not want to leave my home. I want to know if I can really do my workouts here and still see results!”

So many people have asked me about in-home
workout routines.

Do you want to avoid the weight room in favor
of the living room?

Well, you’re in luck. Yes, you can work out at
home using your bodyweight only plus some
nifty tricks and get really good results.

If you don’t want to be “a bodybuilder”, that is.
If so, you’ll need a gym.

If not, your living room can work just fine.

Take a look at this example for upper body.
This can be done at any level with the proper
modifications, as I’ll demonstrate:

Push-ups: 10-20 reps
– Beginner: on knees rather than toes
– Intermediate: standard form
– Advanced: feet up on a chair with hands wide

Lower your body for 4 seconds and explode
up in 2 seconds. Feel the chest muscles
“pull” together and move your body upward.

Rest only 30 seconds between sets. Do 3-4
sets. Time: under 9 minutes for advanced,
under 5 minutes for beginners.

That’s just one exercise and one example.
There are literally dozens for every bodypart.

No, and no.

I work out my abs about twice per week max.
Usually only once per week.

My abs are hit indirectly when I train other
bodyparts. They are used as stabilizers for
tricep work, back work, and leg work.
