Be Of Service-3 Simple Easy Ways To Be Of Service This Thanksgiving
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said “Life’s most urgent and persistent question is: what are you doing for others?”
A little down this Thanksgiving, do an act of service — it will be the lift you need. You will discover the many blessings you have, will humble you inspire you to have a grateful heart.
1. Volunteer at a homeless shelter this Thanksgiving weekend. Serve a meal or pass out blankets this winter (see what Jan Bolick of BusinessClassInc.com is doing in collecting blankets.)
2. Instead of spending money on Black Friday at the after Thanksgiving sales, gather your unused/unwanted items/clothing and donate them to the Goodwill or Salvation Army.
3. Give a check (every little bit helps) to your church or to the foster child’s Christmas fund for the kid’s toys this Christmas.
Bonus idea: Pick a family member, who you have had a disagreement with and do something for them that they cannot possibly repay. It will bless you more than you can imagine.

Your blog was great and very inspiring. Yes, giving in service is awarding and helps others. As a matter of fact, I am going to perform one of your suggestions on Thanksgiving day by cleaning out some closets and donating. In addition, I may even visit a nursing home. Thank you for sharing.
