“Wisdom is knowing what to do next, skill is knowing how to do it, and virtue is doing it.”

~David Starr Jordan American educator & peace activist

To achieve our aims in life – our goals, or aspirations even, a process has to occur – even though we may not be aware of it. What makes up this process is three key steps – wisdom, skill & virtue; now, you may call them something else, but the impact of them is the same. From 2Excel Coaching

Thank you mark. I liked this particular quote. It’s simple but extremely relevant. I’m new to this blogg but find it very enlightening and helpful. I joined because we learn best from the people who are usualy wiser than us: our elders…not that I’m refering to Boomers as being old, far from it, but at the age of 40 (Didn’t someone once say this is when life begins) I am really interested in hearing what people just slightly older than me have to say…after all, I’m finding the boomer generation to be the most vibrant strata of present day society…especially here in the UK.

Unfortunatly, it is the younger generations that are slowing down and becoming phlegmatic…I try, as their elder, to be as motivational and as inspirational as possible. On the other hand, my parents generation seem to be able to achieve twice as much in a day than I can…there must be some extra hours that no one is letting on about yet.

    Cheers, Nath
